WHAT IS FREEBIRD?

Freebird is a one-day workshop that aims to empower mobile technology users with greater knowledge about the security and privacy-oriented capabilities of their personal devices, while also giving them the opportunity to meet, influence and collaborate with open-source mobile software developers seeking to address their needs.

The May 30th workshop in Rio de Janeiro is a pre-event for the Human Rights Technology Conference, allowing participants to continue their interactions over the following days. All Freebird attendees will receive passes for the full conference on May 31st and June 1st. Freebird will be held simultaneously in Rio de Janeiro and New York City, connected via a live stream, bringing together activists, developers, hackers and users from both hemispheres, to share and collaborate on the future of open mobile software.

O QUE É O FREEBIRD?

O Freebird é um workshop de um dia que tem como objetivo capacitar os usuários de tecnologia móvel com maior conhecimento sobre a segurança e capacidades orientadas para a privacidade de seus dispositivos pessoais, lhes dando em simultâneo a oportunidade de conhecer, influenciar e colaborar com desenvolvedores de software de código-fonte aberto visando atender suas necessidades.

O workshop de 30 de Maio no Rio de Janeiro é um pré-evento para A Conferência Tecnológica dos Direitos Humanos, permitindo que os participantes continuem suas interações nos dias seguintes. Todos os participantes do Freebird receberão passes para a conferência completa em 31 de Maio e 1 de Junho.

O Freebird será realizado simultaneamente no Rio de Janeiro e Nova Iorque, ligado através de uma transmissão ao vivo, juntando ativistas, desenvolvedores, hackers e os usuários de ambos os hemisférios, para compartilhar e colaborar no futuro do software móvel aberto.

¿QUÉ ES FREEBIRD?

Freebird es un taller de un día cuyo propósito es capacitar a los usuarios de tecnología móvil para que conozcan mejor las características de privacidad y seguridad de sus dispositivos personales y ofrecerles la oportunidad de conocer, apoyar y colaborar con los desarrolladores de software de telefonía móvil de código libre para comentarles sus necesidades.

El taller, que se llevará a cabo el 30 de mayo en Río de Janeiro, es un evento previo a la Conferencia de Tecnología por los Derechos Humanos, que les permitirá a los participantes continuar interactuando durante los días posteriores. Todos los asistentes a Freebird recibirán entradas libres para asistir a la conferencia del 31 de Mayo y del 1 de Junio. El taller Freebird se llevará a cabo de manera simultánea en Río de Janeiro y en la ciudad de Nueva York a través de una conexión en vivo en la cual podrán reunirse activistas, desarrolladores, especialistas en informática y usuarios de todo el mundo para compartir experiencias y colaborar en el futuro del software móvil libre.
